If you choose to sell items, we may also collect additional identity verification details as required by applicable regulations and our payment processor, Stripe.

Payment Information. Pegg uses Stripe to process all financial transactions. When you add a payment method or set up a seller payout account, your payment card details, bank account information, and billing address are collected and handled directly by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and PCI-DSS standards. Pegg does not store your full credit card number or bank account details on our servers.

Wardrobe and Listing Data. When you add items to your wardrobe or create listings, we collect the photographs you upload, the descriptions you provide, and any associated metadata such as brand, size, condition, and category. This information is used to power our marketplace features and AI-driven pricing tools.

Usage and Device Data. We automatically collect certain technical information when you interact with the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, features used, search queries, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits. We may use cookies, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to gather this data and improve our Service.

Providing and Improving the Service. We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and enhance Pegg. This includes facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers, managing your account, displaying your wardrobe and listings, processing payments through Stripe, and providing customer support. AI-Powered Pricing and Recommendations. Pegg uses artificial intelligence to analyze market trends, comparable sales data, and item characteristics to generate pricing estimates for your wardrobe items. The data you provide about your clothing—including photos, brand, condition, and category—is processed by our AI systems to deliver accurate valuations and personalized recommendations. We do not sell the outputs of this analysis to third parties.

Communications. We may use your email address to send transactional notifications (such as order confirmations, shipping updates, and payout receipts), as well as service-related announcements. With your consent, we may also send promotional messages about new features, marketplace activity, or items we think you might like. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time.

Safety, Security, and Legal Compliance. We use your information to detect and prevent fraud, enforce our terms of service, verify identities where required, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. This includes monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and cooperating with law enforcement when legally obligated to do so.

Service Providers. We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service. This includes Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for data infrastructure, cloud hosting providers for storage and computing, and analytics services that help us understand how the Service is used. Other Users and the Marketplace. Certain information is visible to other Pegg users as part of normal marketplace functionality. When you list an item for sale, your seller profile name, listing photos, descriptions, and pricing are displayed publicly. Buyers and sellers involved in a transaction may see each other's names and shipping information as needed to complete the sale.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a valid legal process (such as a subpoena, court order, or government request), protect the rights, property, or safety of Pegg, our users, or the public, or investigate potential violations of our terms of service.

Business Transfers. In the event that Pegg is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or bankruptcy proceeding, your personal information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information by posting a notice on our website or sending you a direct communication.

Account Settings. You can review and update your personal information at any time by visiting your account settings within the Pegg app. This includes your name, email address, profile photo, shipping address, and notification preferences. Changes take effect immediately upon saving.

Marketing Opt-Out. Payment information is handled by Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 certification—the highest level of security standard in the payments industry. Your card details never touch Pegg's servers directly.

Pegg is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our systems as promptly as possible.
